Grow Talent to offer career transition services

TALENT management firm, Grow Talent Company Ltd, has tied up with the Nasdaq-listed $500-million US-based Right Management Consultants, to add a new line of business by introducing Right's globally acknowledged Career Transitions Programme in the Indian market.

Addressing media persons in the Capital on Thursday, Mr. Anil Sachdev, CEO, Grow Talent Company, said, "This service will benefit employers who understand that providing these services represents sound business practice and maintains the dignity and well-being of the individuals leaving the company."

Moreover, the companies can also win the esteem and goodwill of the remaining employees as well external associates, he added. Through this service Grow Talent will offer individualised coaching and personal support to help individuals take responsibility of their careers. It will also include support in areas of individual visioning, coaching and in some cases industrial relations.

"The essence is to help candidates identify their strengths and realise their positive energy to develop their career," said Mr Sachdev.

He specified that the programme would only be offered to the company as a whole and not to individuals.

"In the current scenario, where a number of companies are on a downsizing spree, they are willing to invest in such programmes where their employees can get proper guidance on how to manage their careers," he said.

However, Mr. Sachdev clarified that Grow Talent would not take the responsibility of securing jobs for the employees. "We will only assist, coach and be with them during the period of transition."

He said the companies would only have to spend 12 to 15 per cent of the employee’s compensation on this package, in comparison to 25 to 30 per cent that they spend on recruitment.

He also added that his company was planning to do a survey on the companies to work with in India, which would be on the lines of the Fortune 500 survey.

Fifty-two per cent of the global revenue of Right Management is from outside the US. Being the leaders in career transition, the company earns 75 per cent of its revenue from consulting in this specialised field.
